What You'll Learn

Willkommen in B1 (Welcome to B1) - Meet course participants and introduce yourself. - Discuss topics that connect people. - Present your language learning biography. - Grammar: - Review: Subordinate clauses and perfect tense.

- Talk about time and perceptions of time. - Comment on information. - Discuss German history. - Understand words in context. - Grammar: - Nominalization with "zum." - Subordinate clauses with "während." - Preterite of irregular verbs. - Review: Preterite and sentences with "wenn..., (dann)."

- Discuss everyday problems and personal well-being. - Give advice and reasons. - Search for information in magazine articles. - Grammar: - Conjunctions: "deshalb," "darum," "deswegen." - Graduating adverbs: "sehr," "ziemlich," "besonders." - Present subjunctive (Konjunktiv II) of modal verbs: "können," "müssen," "sollen." - Review: Subordinate clauses with "weil." - Imperative.

• Course fees include one digital material copy. A hard copy is available at an additional cost through our recommended supplier.
• Public groups consist of 16 hours for a Central European Framework (CEFR) level, with 2-7 students per group.
• After enrolment, students can request to switch to another group or schedule, provided the request is made at least 7 days before the original class start date.
• All of our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If a teacher is unavailable due to illness or an emergency, a replacement teacher will be provided, fully briefed on the group’s progress.
• Once a student has started in a group, they cannot request to change to a different group or schedule.
• Course fees are non-refundable once the group has started.
• Recordings of group classes are available for later viewing, but we require permission from all students before the course begins.
• Each program ends with a final exam, including written and verbal sections. To progress to the next CEFR level, a student must score at least 70% on the exam.

• Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.
• Certification: Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate and a progress report.
